Edito de Naquele TempoHenrique Cazes? accidental discovery of a treasure trove of manuscripts was the catalyst for this recording, which features twelve of Pixinguinha?s own arrangements, written in 1948 for the Orquestra Brasília ? a project that remained unrealized during the composer?s lifetime. Cazes (cavaquinho, banjo, musical director) drew on major talents from the ranks of choro for his own version of that band, which was later renamed for the master himself.
