Edito de A la ModeIn times when economy and thereby also culture is short with money, combined with the ´disappearing´ of lots of regional orchestras - may it be symphony orchestras or radio big bands (lately RIAS big band) - the appearance of a new jazz orchestra is like a gift. As it is in the case of the United Women's Orchestra that has released amazing productions with highly original musical concepts.
After ´The Red One´ and ´The Blue One´ ´Virgo Supercluster´ is the most mature and convincing production of this band. As in the past all the material has been written by their two musical conductors: Hazel Leach, an Englishwoman in Amsterdam, and reed player Christina Fuchs from Cologne.
