Edito de A License (to pay back all who didn't believe)
Picture Bleeds Paint hits hard, with strong, sustaining, vocals, euphoric guitar riffs, tight drums, spacey synth and intricate basslines. Formed in 2004, their sound has been compared to artists ranging all over the musical spectrum. Some of the most common are Thursday, The Fall of Troy, The Used, 30 Seconds to Mars, AFI, At The Drive In, Minus The Bear, From First to Last, Story of the Year, and the Deftones. In a relatively short period of time PBP has made a name for themselves and has had great success in the local Montana area and the surrounding region. Most likely due to their off-the-wall and unpredictable live show, bringing fans back almost religiously, not to mention their tight stage performance and fan hospitality. On September 14, 2005, shortly after Hurricane Katrina, Picture Bleeds Paint hosted a benefit concert at the local High School in Chinook Montana to raise money for victims of Hurricane Katrina. With a huge turnout, PBP raised hundreds of dollars which was later donated to the Red Cross. Their song "Enough" from their debut self titled seven track LP has been played on radio stations locally and nationwide arousing the attention of fans of all styles and genres of music. It was also this song that brought the attention of local sponsor, Siq Duq Clothing to Picture Bleeds Paint. It also topped the charts on Myspace in the Montana section and stayed there for over four months. The track "Escaping Uncertainty" was also featured in a 2005 indie produced film "The Rosary". The LP sold a huge amount of copies within the first month from the date of release, and is now available in stores all across Montana as well as online. Picture Bleeds Paint is also currently working on a much anticipated full-length album which should be appearing sometime in the early spring months of 2006, which will also be backed up by a full US tour. Picture Bleeds Paint has shared the stage with numerous local Montana bands as well as a few relatively well known bands such as Junius, The Constants, Chapter 14, and On the Last Day. Picture Bleeds Paint has high goals and aspirations to get their music spread to listeners all across the US and the world, to make a reputation for themselves, and to help other artists get started in the local music scene. But what seperates PBP from the rest, is PBP has the dilligence, the work ethic, devotion, and talent to help realize these goals. Members include Aaron Nolan on vocals and guitar, Justin Haider on guitar and synth, Jordon Lybeck on guitar, Greg Courtney on bass and synth, and Aj Rucinsky on drums. The members have been described as "friendly","down to earth" one fan even said "...the thing that I've noticed is, even Picture Bleeds Paint is a really great band they stay rather modest when compared to other MT bands...they definetely seem to have a lot of passion and drive for their music. There seems to be alot of musical talent at work which is awesome...it [the music] is not just [restricted to] one style. That works amazingly well...PBP also puts on an awesome live performance and a has a lot of energy on stage, they are definitely one of those bands you have to see live to believe it." -Sean Lawrence of Billings, MT. Picture Bleeds Paint didn't just appear out of the blue as it seems to many people. In fact all members of PBP have been in various bands writing music and playing music with other musicians for years. The histories of each members' personal experience with music go back to childhood years. Picture Bleeds Paint actually got its start in july of 2004. Jordon Lybeck and Justin Haider both from chinook caught a glimpse of Aaron, Greg and Aj's old band "the threadbare trigneta" playing at a local show, at that time TTT was playing to a prerecorded drum track of Aj's. Aj had just moved away to Oregon and wasn't expected to be back soon. Jordon and Justin immediately promted Aaron and Greg to join. The music was great but the timing was poor. Aaron had plans to go to Germany in exchange and the band had no drummer. In 2005 when Aaron returned; PBP, or at that time a no name band had just got its rough start with Greg Courtney doing vocals and no bass. Aaron was asked to join the band. Things went well but the previous drummer Max Hofeldt didn't show the same devotion that the rest of the band did. So after recording their 7 track self titled EP, Max then left the band to make way for Aj.
