Nicky Baldrian AOR Dreamzones (UK) Souls of the Red Dream was founded by singer-songwriter-guitarist David Willow in July, 2002. Hailing from Chippewas of Mnjikning First Nation, David began playing guitar at age thirteen. Influenced by hard rock and progressive rock bands such as Queensryche, Rush and Iron Maiden, David found a powerful medium to express his spiritual and cultural roots. Souls of the Red Dream's 2004 debut release entitled "Your Faith Bleeds" contains ten original tracks that meld haunting melodies over solid backboned rhythms. Lyrically, the stories are moving and reflective of David's own spiritual journey and observations of others that have crossed his path. Recording sessions for "Your Faith Bleeds" began at Cherry Beach Sound (Toronto) in July, 2003. David was first joined by Juno Award winning producer and keyboardist extraordinaire Lance Anderson (Leahy, Cameo Blues Band, Anderson-Sloski). Regarding Lance's producing talent, David had this to say: "Lance oozes soul...he always keeps it real and to the point, and his playing is totally off the chain!" Several session players came on board to work on the CD, including Al Cross, of Big Sugar fame. The result: sweetness, power and soul. The touring band lineup is gearing up for performances this summer of 2004. A video for the title track is in the works.
