Acoustic strumming and easy listening piano keys are always beautiful additions and they work well here in this instance. "Sweet Michael" and "Diary from Dad" offer real life experiences that will touch your soul. Stories behind each song captivate your attention to keep in you long enough to feel as if you were Michael or a member of the family. Billy has given you a taste of his musical prowess in his previous release "Sold the Farm." "Yesterday's America" takes you on a different turn with a different vibe to the music. Very rarely do you see the rap/rock combination in this musical effort. And the absence of lyrical raps actually makes this CD shine. "Styx River" shows you how creative and flexible Billy can be as an artist and producer. Going from a total opposite of the rap, in the "Styx" Billy catches you with his blunt country swang. Highlighting the CD however, is the heartfelt somber "Learning to Love Again". With stellar production, the strings, keys, and guitar draw you in as the feel of a cinematic episode takes over.
