Edito de Where I Am TodayBorn in Honefoss, Norway to a Norwegian father and American mother, cultural influences have shaped the music of young, up and coming artist Logan Lindvigsmoen. Moving to the U.S. at a young age to a small, rural railroad town in Arkansas, he was raised on a mix of Scandinavian folk music and southern rhythm and blues. He began playing guitar at 12, and got serious when his Norwegian grandmother gave him an Ibanez acoustic. He was fortunate to have a neighbor across the road who had formally been a lead guitar player for Merle Haggard. He took the time to show the kid a few chords and told him to practice until his fingers bled. Seven years later Logan has released his debut album entitled, WHERE I AM TODAY. With the rhythmic beat and driving guitar of the foot stomping opening track TRAIN, to the intimate raw tracks of WHERE I AM and NO OTHER NAME ; he offers something honest and fresh, drawn from his own struggles and views of life. Influences of small town life can be heard in the bluesy, southern fried HOMETOWN, while the haunting guitars and vocals of the Scandinavian flavored NOT MY WILL echo his roots. On several tracks he opts for a laid back simplicity that invites the listener in while not crowding them with an overproduced sound. Tracks like TURN AROUND sound like a folkie session with a few friends around the mic. In his music and lyrics he continually tries to keep it on a human note while keeping God in the center. Whether it be crying out to a prodigal in NEVER AGAIN, or addressing the subject of death in the upbeat jam melodies of LAY ME DOWN, this artist attempts to craft music that people can relate to while showing them the heart and depth of God.
