Edito de WarheadI began work on my first EP, Warhead, in 2006. Originally planned to be a full-length album and decided to release Warhead as an EP after the first five tracks were completed. The title track was recorded using my personal setup at home and mixed with the help of Mike Birch, who also helped to record and mix the other four tracks.
Warhead turned out well representative of the diversity in my songwriting. The opening and title track, Warhead, is definitely one of the most emotional, driving songs I've recorded. Next comes 'No', a hypnotic song using ambient electric instruments and minimal percussion. Shepherd Me and Ode To Rain are characterized by intimate vocals and folky acoustic guitar. The final track, Last Song, starts with just piano and voice, adding a rough edge cello towards the end.
All of these songs contain deeply personal lyrics and I hope that in the future, If I return to them, they will seem as honest and worthwhile as they did at the time of their conception.
I hope you enjoy this CD - Love - Rafael Green
