Edito de Too Marvellous For Words'Too Marvellous For Words' unites three young jazz musicians each of which have made an impressive impact on the UK jazz scene in recent years. Vibraphonist Anthony Kerr emerged at the end of the 1980s and was quickly recognised as an accomplished and versatile musician. Hammon organist Jim Watson is equally at home playing the piano. It?s as a pianist that he can be heard in the bands of Guy Barker, Dave O?Higgins and Gerard Presencer. And the tasteful, swinging, listening drummer Steve Brown has become a sought after sideman.
The contrasting sounds of the Hammond organ and the vibes perfectly suit a programme of classic American songs by Jerome Kern, Jimmy Van Heusen, Harold Arlen and Duke Ellington.
