Edito de The Six EPIn the summer of 2000 two friends, Peter P (spankchild) and Richard Bowman decided to start a band. They spent the rest of the summer writing and working on songs. In September they added Mike B (men from mars and the blasphematics) on bass guitar then in October they added the Jesus (next in line)on the drums. With the line up set they spent the next 2 months practicing the songs Richard and Peter developed and a couple of new ones that the whole band wrote. It didnt take long to get a solid set down and on December 16th 2000 The Response played their first show. In the next year the Response played dozens of shows and made their mark in Milwaukee. With their energetic live show and opening for bands like The Faint, The Benjamins, The Figgs, Starlight Mints and Har Mar Superstar, the Response quickly acquired a good following in the Milwaukee area. In January 2002, Richard Bowman had left the band to pursue other interests (last place champs). The following week, they invited Steve Kerwin (last flight home and radio tokyo) to come and play with them. After 2 practices Steve would become the new singer and guitar player for the Response. March 9th 2002, less than 2 months after Steve joined the band, the Response headlined a show at the Cactus Club for a packed house. Since then, they have opened for such bands like Superdrag (twice), the Reunion Show and the Stereo and have kept a large following in Milwaukee and surronding areas. December 2002 marks the release of their first CD "the six ep" on Latest Flame Records. The Response is very excited and will continue to play as many shows as possible to get their music out there for everyone to hear. Lire la suite
