Edito de The Early Years 1955-1959Matt Monro began his recording career officially in 1956 - signing with Decca and issuing various singles and a 10" album titled 'Blue & Sentimental'. In 1958 for Fontana he released a series of further singles but found no chart success. Matt also recorded three songs for a budget 10" LP called 'Top Pop Club International' - these are represented here for the first time. Prior to signing with Decca, Matt had recorded with the Harry Leader band and in 1955 cut a single of 'Strange Lady In Town' under the name Al Jordan - available for the first time here.
