Edito de Lets Get It OnSmooth, sensual and strong are just some of the words used to describe Rodney Mannsfield. His first album ?Love In A Serious Way?, released in 1992 on A&M, was critically acclaimed and included the production talents of another Expansion artist, Gary Taylor. Michael Powell, who is known for his work with Anita Baker, also produced three songs on the album. This follow up album for Expansion includes the single ?Call Me?, written and produced by Rodney Mannsfield in Philadelphia, but mixed in the UK by the Ethnic Boys in upbeat and more laid back styles. The CD includes Rodney?s original ?Philly Mix? and both the remixes as bonus tracks, while a second track ?Let Me Know? (a duet with Veronica Underwood), has also been mixed in the UK by The Ethnic Boyz.
Other producers on the album include Philly stalwart Dexter Wansel and Anthony ?T-Luv? Barnum on an incredible set of urban soul swing dance tracks, midtempos and ballads.
Rodney appeared in England in 1993 for Choice FM?s soul night out in London and at the Southport Soul Weekender. Plans are afoot to bring this outstanding vocalist/performer back to once again blow away UK audiences.
