Edito de Let Us Into Your LifeUnconscious Logic features Jamahl Richardson aka Nat. Fact eclectic, soulful, and ultra talented producer, songwriter, emcee and passionate showman, and Elbert K. Sanders aka Thesis (also know as K, Black) metaphysical, poetic, lyrical, ghetto philosophical, thought provoking emcee. Unconscious Logic (formerly Natural Blackness) began performing as a duo in late 1999, in Oakland California. With soulful, gut-wrenching, energetic performances they began to become known for tough act to follow shows throughout northern California. In mid 2000 the hip hop scene began to take note. I wouldnt put us in a category as far as whether we are west coast or east coast, we just try and keep making good music, said Nat. Fact when asked to define what style of hip-hop Unconscious Logic would fit in. In 2001 Stray Records took note of the sounds Unconscious Logic, then called Natural Blackness. After featuring Nat. Fact as a solo artist on the Stray from the Pack compilation in 2000, it then turned attention to Natural Blackness, and released the duos first white label album entitled Luv Music. This was the last hip hop white label they released as Stray Records soon folded. Unconscious Logic collectively has performed in the same line ups as: KRS 1, Zion I, 7 odz, Dead Prez, The Coup, Closed Caption, Outcast, and Young Z to name a few. Unconscious Logic released its first group EP in early 2000 entitled Knight Vision, which featured lyric flipping, Emcee driven tracks like We stomp, and What you want vs. What you need, and soul searching songs like Love, and Get yo Gaze on, while also conscience songs like Life dont end and Rise Natural Blackness followed Knight Vision with the late 2002 release of the EP Step into the Light, which was a living breathing testament to the concept of growth as a group. I think after Knight Vision, and the way heads embraced the first project, and recording the first couple of tracks for Step into the Light, it was really a confirmation to us that what we were doing was just as hot as anything else coming out it was just matter of being heard, Stray folded before they could really push the single like they wanted to, said Thesis when asked about the groups early projects. Natural Blackness paused in late 2003 through mid 2005 and recorded solo albums entitled Nat. Fact Worldwide and Thesis Memoirs of a Metaphysical Mind respectively. In 2005 Natural Blackness reassembled as with a new title Unconscious Logic. There wasnt anything wrong with Natural Blackness, I just felt like me as a producer, and both of us as emcees had really out grown NB, Unconscious Logic just seemed so much more appropriate Said Nat. Fact when explaining the name change. Unconscious Logic recently completed their latest group effort Let us into your life, and already begin working on an undisclosed album. Let us into your life, is full of that type of material that first made me fall in love with hip hop said Poke Martian of the Hobo Junction upon first hearing Where are you right now a soulful song expressing the groups love of hip hop and its roots. Thesis chirped back when asked about Let us into your life, It seem like Ive been rocking forever, and Mahl been rocking longer than me, so we just wanted to make sure the world gets a chance to hear our music, I know in my soul theyve been waiting to hear it. Unconscious Logic will have two songs featured on Om Records 2006 Hip Hop compilation, due out in early 2006.
