Triani's former band Supermodel released three critically acclaimed lo-fi pop-albums recorded for legendary UK indie Fire Records and Columbia Records USA. After Supermodel split, Triani moved to Finland and formed Treeball. Pop duets are rare in rock - Treeball embrace this tradition, with songs full of cynical yet tender duets, reminding some listeners of Velvet Underground, Pavement, Burt Bacharach, Big Star, Grandaddy and The Go-Betweens.
