Edito de In Folk-UsNancy Lippincott is a vocalist and multi-instrumentalist from Godfrey, Illinois. She began playing guitar and singing during the Folk Revival of the 60's and never stopped. Over the years, she has taught herself to play four more instruments: hammered dulcimer, mandolin, tenor banjo, and autoharp. Though partial to American folk and Celtic music, her repertoire includes early country, blues, swing, gospel, vintage rock and original material.
"In Folk-Us" features Nancy on four instruments and vocals. Other contributing musicians are Kevin Liley on guitar, mandolin and banjo, Elliott Ribner on penny whistles and Zeb Briskovich on upright bass.
The thing that distinguishes this 2 disc CD set is the variety of musical styles reflecting Nancy's ecletic taste. There is something here for everyone. You might say it's a musical smorgasbord. Come have a taste.
