After the breakup of long-lived area favorite "Strawberry Bazarre," guitarist/vocalist Sonny Porter found drummer Jon Grumblatt and bassist Keith Demanche playing fusion/free form Jazz in Jon's garage after the breakup of their previous band. The chemistry and energy between these three accomplished musicians revealed itself in one session, and Porter was born. With their 2002 debut album, Not So Subtle Imperfections, behind them and a stockpile of new songs, Porter headed back to the studio in late 2004 and recorded their sophmore record, Hatful of Corruption. Indie label Rat Pak Records decided to release the new album in June, 2005. "Porter's unique blend of straight forward alternative rock and catchy hooks are sure to be a delight to all music fans abroad," said Rat Pak Records President Joe O'Brien. Hatful of Corruption is a big leap forward for the band, both in terms of songwriting and production. Lyrically driven, with pitch perfect harmonies by vocalist Sonny Porter, and brash, unbridled guitar rock throughout, the new album reveals the band's tenure together with every song.
