The band itself is a collective of creative people, but the numbers go up and down through time depending on who is currently plugged in. "Current" is written and performed by Ashworth and Patin, but in the real world, not to be confused with the recording studio world, Conrad Rivera is the drummer, and David Roy is the bass player (although Roy is currently residing on the "unable to perform" list due to prior commitments to War). "Current" is representative of the Jubal Cain ethic that good music doesn't have to fit into any particular tabbed slot in the bins at your favorite record shop. It would help if there were a section at that record store for atonal free-form jazz/electronic country and western/oddball metal/prog/roots rock, but that may be asking too much. You think? "Current" is bound to contain a little bit of everybody's favorite music (if your favorite music has credits for "bicycle horn", "fake marathon runner", and "Hammond tuba") and Jubal Cain sees no reason to mess with that formula.
