Edito de As It GoesGg Do Wha, As It Goes These 20 instrumentals/songs are part of an amazing adventure which I stumbled upon while self-learning to play guitar, MIDI keyboards and exploring Apple's Garageband® software. To date, there are some 63 tunes and growing... ...its almost as if I happened upon an infinite vortex of goodies, sitting there awaiting a vehicle/means of expression. Having never been formally schooled in music, I read sheet music equivalent to a 3rd grader reading a newspaper. And have been known to clear a party; with a saxophone, which has gone on way too long into the morning hours... ...described by some, as a wild screeching sound akin to a cross between a cow in heat and an alley cat protecting its turf in the midnight hour. 1. Linz BluZ: Sociopolitical commentary on New Orleans and the way it was handled. As those observing the events still gasp, shaking their heads in embarrassment for the host. 2. RoXy Dawn: Straight up old time Rock n Roll. Its name is not that of a woman, rather that of Rock n Roll itself and the way it invited itself into manifestation once again, as this version of expression. Once heard, it soon becomes familiar somehow. And could easily become part of your classic all time favs collection. 3. Here It Comes: Friendly reminder of letting go with the flow. This song came about one day, while working on this CD. And just thinking about all the thoughts which invite themselves, all vying for attention. The words came of themselves so, as antidote to any distractive diversions, allowing for a relaxed focus to task at hand. 4. Got That Right: (instrumental) Funky thumps party starter. The concept behind this piece was rather disturbing at first, but in a good sorta way. Especially since the flow of thoughts and feelings had an edgy rawness to them, delving into controversial commentary as to decisions being made by those in charge and in power. 5. Saxy Piano: (instrumental) Good all-around boogie-butt beat. 6. Mind Went Blank: (instrumental) Walking attitude bass stride. 7. You Monsta Me: (instrumental) Buttery smooth kick stompin drums, steady driven bassline, familiar guitar riffs. 8. Metal Meltdown: (instrumental) Acustic guitar calms a move with headbanger groove. 9. Loozenit: (instrumental) Losing in love, finding new love... ...the beat pulls nicely. 10. Remember When: Doo Wop Baby Boomer's delight... ...the one that got away. Makes a great nostalgia gift for those in your family, who grew up as teens in the 50's. 11. Leela?s Interlude: Spiritual incantation... ...short n sweet. 12. Mozey Awakening: (instrumental) WAM goes boomin baseline. There were many crunchy notions here, fueling the motivation within a desire to manifest as an invitation to relax, even if just for a moment. The lively upbeat tempo allows for relaxed awareness, even where alertness is essential, such as commuter/drive time. Lots of pleasant surprises, even after repeated listening. 13. Clear Moments: One man's interpretation of a woman's song... ...possible Top 100 sappy song list contender. The words came from an edited poem, published in 1999. 14. Piper?s Trance: (instrumental) Trance dance bumps alot. 15. Don?t Be Seein It: (instrumental) If Mendelssohn played thumpy beats with Bach, while conducting a clinic on keeping interest just at the breaking point, would they have fans for it ? 16. County Line: (instrumental) Line dance floor foot stomper. 17. Disagree Yaboi: (instrumental) Playful beats moving in & out. 18. Change Chains: (instrumental) Subtle reminders, and makings of a movie score. 19. Rainy 12th: Intuitive Healing Knowledge and a smile... ...caution, speaker busta dynamics. This resulted while to listening to an old recording of Russian partisan songs. Its amazing how those songs could bring people together, comforting and encouraging each other in the peril of daily living, in those times. 20. Triple Pleazha: (instrumental) Jazz Blues Rock n Roll jam session... ...purist repellent. As result of this experience, I now have a deeper appreciation for musicians and respect for all those involved in producing music.
